[...] Michael Spencer has been recommending The Theology Program over the past few months. It looks pretty good, and it’s not expensive. From what I see, you get exposed to multiple views/interpretations with discussion of their pros and cons, without putting too much emphasis on their preferences. (End times views are a great example of this. Being one who waffles between amill and historic premill, it doesn’t seem like dispensation premill is being forced uppon me.) If you’re looking to get some good theology training, and you’re willing to spend a little for classes, but don’t necessarily want to go to seminary or Bible college, give this a try.
I have to give you a long overdue thank you, Michael, for introducing me to Reclaiming the Mind Ministries. I have listened to all of the Theology Unplugged podcasts multiple times & I am looking forward to taking the TTP course online. (The free version; I'm a mother of three.) Michael & Rhome have taught me so much already & I adore their humor & approach. Because of them, my husband & I have been able to "talk theology" with our pastor & we have shared some wonderful conversations. I hope to start soon after I acquire the required texts from Amazon.

Michael,

I have taken TTP's Intro to Theology twice...no, I didn't fail the first time! The first time was through my church but after it was no longer offered I enrolled online (Intro is required before taking any other courses). Without doubt it was the best hundred bucks I've spent in a long time. Michael and Rhome are excellent teachers. They cover the material in an intelligent and irenic manner. They are pushing no agenda other than for Christians to learn how to "do theology". The weekly sessions on Paltalk are a lot of fun and I have "virtually" met many people whom I have come to know and love as brothers and sisters in Christ. I intend on enrolling in the next session, Bibliology and Hermeneutics. It was a great, great experience.
