A Joint Celebration

The Vatican and the Lutheran World Federation released a joint document, “From Conflict to Communion,” in Geneva on Monday, June 17. In preparation for the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation in 2017, they have pledged to celebrate the occasion together. The document especially highlights the progress made by Lutheran-Catholic dialogue in the past 50 years.

You can read the document, which re-examines the history of the Reformation and its themes and how we might think about it in today's global-ecumenical age.
