He is indeed the real deal. I have served with him on staff in a large church setting and I have also had the privilege of calling him my pastor! I would do it again in a heart beat. He will be a great asset and any church that snags him will be fortunate to do so! Go with God friend and thanks to IMonk for helping him!

Yes, Drew, I think you have known him for a while. From day one, if I’m correct in who we’re talking about.

He has been my pastor; a church that is more interested in being missional than Baptist will have one heck of a hire. However, that’s easier said than done, since inertia can keep people from getting out of their comfort zones.

If you want comfy-cozy, he’s not your guy, but if you want to be politely but firmly challenged to draw closer to God and His kingdom, he’s your guy.

I also have known this man for many many years.

He may be one of the most Godly men that I have ever met in my entire life.

He is kind, thoughtful, and uses Godly wisdom in all of his decisions.

He is not a “make hilarious jokes and say catchy phrases from the pulpit” kind of guy. He doesnt wear sharp suits and chooses to be more concerned with the substance of what he preaches rather than the style or manner in which the service is run. He is a thinker, he has a huge caring heart, and always chooses to show Christ to the ones who are persecuting him. He loves the church and he loves the churches people.

I pray that people do take this opportunity, if you need it in your church, to get in contact with this man. You will not regret it.
